Plot summary: When the dogs get together, there is a whole lot to say - some dogs will bark and some will yip.  Some will Woof and some will make an odd nmmnnn type sound.  Can you count all the doggies and understand what sounds they will make?

Critical review:  Sandra Boynton’s works have earned their place in the pantheon of board and picture books - and this striking counting book is no exception.  The art is dominated by simple, thin lines and a pastel palette.  The non-traditional prose is simple, with an expressive use of adjectives.  It is short enough to hold a child’s attention, and long enough to provide a quality of interaction
