Britannica 1.jpgResource summary: There are three levels of Britannica School - Elementary, Middle and High.  From the home screen, the user needs to select one of three trees.  A search window will appear, or the child can go through and select the tree.  From the school home page level, the user can select to either watch the videos or see the article on the title subject, or the user can click on one of the large, graphic friendly buttons which will take them to a list of articles, videos, or other resources, which are then further arranged by subject.  Within the subject category, articles are arranged in alphabetical order.  Also of interest, a user can select the from one of three intended grade levels of the article.

Britannica 4.jpgCritical review:
The best attribute of this database is the ability to select and search for grade-appropriate resources. Most databases only have information for middle and upper grades; the fact that this one has an elementary section is wonderful.  The fact that it further divides that section into three levels is even more helpful. The mix of articles and videos are wonderful.

Why include it?
This wonderful database has trusted articles for students of all age groups.  It is a wonderful homework resource, as well as being a useful tool for that child who wants to know why things are and know all the facts.
